Should I get Guild Wars Factions Platinum Edition?
Aug 29, 2008 by Mr. Astronomy | Posted in Video & Online Games
I am new to guild wars. I am looking to buy my first guild wars game. The only reason I dont want to get the original guildwars is because i want to get the assasin. So does guild wars factions platinum contain the original guild wars AND factions on one disk?
In Platinum you will get 2 different cd codes. One for prophecies, One for Factions. Make one account with the prophecies then add the factions one onto it. Then you can make an assassin and you get the bonus of the prophecies world and the factions world. Hoped this helped

what is the difference between Regular Guild Wars Factions and Guild Wars Factions Platinum Edition?

i was just wondering what the difference between them is?
i heard that on platinum edition you get both the original guild wars and guild wars factions.
i really like the pvp on factions and i like the european based setting on the original guild wars. do you think i should get this one?
also if it does come with those 2 games are they both on 1 disc or they are on seperate disks?
I think the platinum edition does contain both games and that's the one I'd recommend getting. You can start 2 characters, 1 in each campaign and get a good feel for the game that way.
Don't worry at all about the disks. They really aren't even needed except for the initial install (and you could even do that over the web). You're actually buying the keycodes for the games. All the game content you need will be downloaded for you as you play.

Which is the best Guild Wars Factions or Nightfall?

Which is the best Guild Wars Factions or Nightfall.
I have Factions. The assassin is really good and cool. But is the dervish better?
Nightfall has alot more PvE content, while Factions was always more PvP oriented. If you prefer PvE and that kind of thing, then go for that.
Also, I have a few characters on GWs and I prefer Paragon over Dervish, and Ritualist over Sin... :P

That's tough to answer. "Better" in what way? Certainly a lot of people like the dervish class and feel it has many strong points. Personally I prefer Assassin, but that does not mean I think it is better than Dervish.
As far as which campaign is better, I enjoy both though I think Nightfall's story is a bit more interesting.
With as cheap as the games are getting, I'd recommend getting Nightfall and finding out for yourself.

Imo, Nightfall. There's much more content, and heroes make everything easier.
