Age of Empires II Gold Edition.?

What exactly does Age of Empires II Gold Edition add to the game? I understand that it contains both the main game and the Conqueror's expansion pack. However, it claims that it has additional content besides the expansion pack. So my question is, what is this additional content? Is it worth an extra $10.00? Also, what does the original Age of Empires Gold Edition add to the game? Is that worth an extra $10.00? Thank you in advance.

Well it probably isn't worth it in my opinion, as you can get a bundle of Age of Empires 1 and 2 w/both expansion packs at wallmart for $10.

I have Age of Empires II Gold Edition, which means I both got Age of Kings and the Conquerors Expansion. Is it possible to play multiplayer match against my brother if I give him the Age of Kings CD and if I use the Conquerors Expansion?
