Nintendo DSi XLNintendo has long been the recognized leader in mobile gaming, and continues this legacy with the DSi XL. The System
The DSi XL is the second hardware release in Nintendo's DSi product line and is a high-powered handheld video game system with an two extra large, 4.2-inch diagonal viewing angle screens that are 93% larger than those of the DS Lite. Not only does it possess all the features of the standard DSi, it is backwards compatible to all game cards designed for the DS, DS Lite and DSi, allows for access to downloadable DSiWare games and applications through the Nintendo DSi Shop and comes bundled with three DSiWare titles. Additional features include touch screen control via the included full size, easy to hold stylus, the ability to snap, edit and share photos with friends using the two built-in digital cameras, music playback with Nintendo DSi Sound and Internet browsing with the built-in Nintendo DSi browser. can the nintendo DSi take regular game.. or are there persiffic game that only work on the DSi

Ds/d lite games will work on the DSi but gameboy games will not because the slot is removed. The games are exactly the same but some new games may work only on the DSi because they use the camera or other new things.

The new console that Nintendo is making the DSi will only accept regular Nintenod DS game (the thin computer chip-like ones) however Nintendo are removing the Game Advance cartridge slot. The DSi will not have its own 'special' type of games as say the PS3 did with Blu-Ray.

Should i get a nintendo dsi?
i was just wondering if i should get a dsi and trade in my ds Lite if so can u give me some information?

anyone who thinks the DS or DS-lite is better than a DSi has never used a DSi, and so don't know what they're missing.

("hey, let's ignore the new stuff, and pretend it's more important to play games from 2 console-generations ago, that they're not even making any more!")

i wouldnt because its the samething as the itouch except it can hold more song and has better internet capabilities. or you could save that money and buy a laptop or mac which is even better!!!

I say go for it! The DSi has many better features than the DS Lite! Brighter and bigger screens, internet browser, DSi shop, camera feature, and update features to keep your DSi updated when there are new update available. You can also play music with it if it's an AAC file and you can record sounds. The only downfall is that it does not have a GBA slot so if you want to play DS/GBA games then don't do it. But i heard that they are going to come out with downloadable gba games in the future through the DSi shop.

My Second Question is: If my friend has the regular ds and I have the Nintendo DSi would we still be able to talk?

No the DSi does not have cellphone capability, but the DSi can still chat with the ds and ds lite. SO yes you'd still be able to chat with your friend!:)

yes you will be able to talk to people with their original ds becuase i doubt nintendo would only have you talk to people with the dsi. its the same hing as the ds and ds lite just more upgraded its sort of like how we can play gamecube games on the wii.
