I pre-ordered mine about a month ago and it says it ships in February. I'm eager to get it, as F.E.A.R. 2 comes out soon and i'de like to play the game with the new mouse. :D Thanks.
No. It is still not out yet. The best place to check if it is out is at amazon because microsoft main website points to amazon to buy the mouse.
Amazon is still at preorder so it is not out yet. I ordered my mouse for a while now too when it was cheap at buy.com. Still waiting for it to be shipped.

Will this computer work?
Aug 30, 2009 by Tom | Posted in Other - Hardware
I am going to build a computer and I need to know if all these parts are compatible and if I need any more parts for it to work. Here is a list of parts:
Enermax Revolution85+ SLI 1250W
Thermaltake Armor+ LCS Silver VH600LSWA
102 Piece Computer Tool Kit
Microsoft SideWinder X6 Keyboard
Samsung 2494HS 23.6in Widescreen LCD Monitor
OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Intel i7 Edition 3x2GB OCZ3X1600LV6GK
ASUS GeForce GTX 295
Intel Core i7 975
Thermaltake LGA1366 Upgrade Kit for L.C.S.
Anti-Static Mat for PC
Microsoft SideWinder X8 Mouse
Western Digital Green 2TB WD20EADS
ASUS Rampage II Extreme Motherboard
Will this all work together and do I need a water block for the GPU or anything else? Thanks.
Highlander: thanks for your reply but I do have way to much money to burn, I am planning to upgrade with more hard drives, I am to young to drive a car so theres no point buying one and also theres no drive in theatre within an hours drive of me.
Also does anyone know what waterblock to use with the graphics card and chipset?
This sounds more like a wish list than a question. You've obviously done your research, and you listed just about the best possible components available today for a desktop PC. Many of your components are targeted for hardcore gamers, so I assume you're not planning on using your i7 CPU for complex scientific simulations. You either have to much $$$ to burn, or you're planning to sell a kidney to buy these parts.
To be honest, it looks a little over-kill and an extreme waste of money. For example, do you really need a 1250watt PSU? You listed just one hard drive (the 2tb WD). Hard drives consume a lot of power from the PSU, so with just one drive, a 600-800 watt PSU would do you just fine. Had you mentioned that you were going to run 4 hard drives in a RAID 5 configuration, then I would agree that a 1250 watt PSU is justified. But I guess you don't need RAID 5 just for playing games.
My advice dude...just buy a Playstation or Xbox, and with the leftover cash...buy a nice car so you can take a date to the drive-in cinema.
Additional Details:
The car and drive-in cinema wasn't meant to be taken literally...the meaning was to spend that money on some other part of your life that can increase your happiness. Computers are not that important to spend that kind of cash on. Just remember...in 3 year's time today's latest computer will be considered a museum relic. Put your money towards better things.

Keyboard wigging out!?
Dec 27, 2009 by allatu | Posted in Other - Hardware
for x-mas I got a Microsoft sidewinder x8 mouse, I came home and hooked it up. It was awesome I LOVE it, but shortly after some strange things started to happen, I was logged into Ever Quest 2 and my character started to move on her own as if some one was controlling her, she ran around a bit looked around a tad then it quit. next day I was logged into Secondlife when my character started to move around jump and right click on things, it went on for about 5 mins and quit, then tonight I am in secondlife again after playing EQ2 all day with no problems and my character starts to wig out so I hit the enter key to bring up the chat window and I see this typed out ( asd weedfa sdwqcc sead seead) it tends to focus on the left hand side of the keyboard along with my mouse left clicking and right clicking. I cant get it to stop. some friends told me its cause my mouse is wireless but how would that mess with my keyboard?
any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated
oh and I have changed keyboards to and that didn't help...
I would be willing to bet the problem is in the WIRELESS mouse. disconnect it and see if the issue continues...good luck.
