Is the Microsoft X6 SideWinder keyboard any good?

So, I recently bought the Sidewinder keyboard (X6) and I wanted to know if it was any good? I am still waiting for it to come in the mail, and was looking for users that actually have it and tell me all of its aspects... Sturdiness, keys, any quirks or little nuisances that add up over time, resistance to spills or etc... Please help! Thanks!

I recently bought a microsoft sidewinder X6 keyboard and the @ is switched with the " key. how do i fix this?

I have tried re-installing it but nothing seems to work.

thats a good one, never heard of that happening before. I suggest contacting the manufacturer and maybe send it back on waranty. Try it on a different computer to test to see if the computer is causing the issue or if it it a problem with the keyboard itself.

Is this a genuine fault with the keyboard or will the company reject it?

I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder X6 gaming keyboard last week and I am sending it back because one of the keys is not working properly. The keys are supposed to be light touch keys so that you do not strain your wrists, but to use the right arrow key it needs to be pressed right into the board.

Is this genuine? I am asking because they charge a lot of money for sending back an item deemed to not be faulty!

If the other keys are light touch, the yes, it's their fault. But they might go 'well you probably just pressed it too much'. Heres the solution. Include a copy of your picture in the box. They might fear that you will send them demons if you don't get a new one. They might even include a gaming mouse and if your lucky, a gaming rig with 24" monitor, game of your choice and 7.1 surround sound kit. And if you include an 'I will send you demons' note, an Xbox 360.
