How do you start to mod empire total war?

in medieval 2 and 1 you could go into their files to desc_stat and then change how long the campaigns go for (which is what i want to do) and then can change other things but i cant figure out how to for empire total war because of steam. any suggetions?

You cannot modify these settings in any way. The only thing i can say is get Cheat Engine - which will allow you to modify things in game such as the amount of money you have.

How do i change movement controls on empire total war computer game?

is it me or are the controls really difficult to use. Does anyone lknow how i can change the movement controls to that of medievel 2 total war? Ive tried to change them in empire but i cant sem to get it right. In med 2 i mainly used the mouse to rotate and move back and forward but in empire it appears i have to use the keys on the keyboard which i dont want to use?

It's not a perfect solution and a bit clunky, but what I do is pause the game every 10 seconds to re-orientate myself and issue new orders. Doesn't work as well in online play, but I get by.

How can I see the flags folder in Empire total war?

I've been trying to change the flags in empire total war but to do that I need to get into folder called flags. It says it should be under steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data\ui\flags. But when I go to the ui bit there is no flags folder. How can I see it? Is there a program that will let me see it?

you have to unpack empire total war directory I guess.

So when you have done that you should see more files and maps and then probably find it
