Call of duty 5 world at war won't launch on my pc?

I installed this game and it won't work.. I double-click on the icon and it asks me if i want to run in safe mode.. I tried to click on both yes and no but still have the same results..anyways, the call of duty world at war logo thing appears in the middle of my screen and the game appears as if it's going to work and the screen goes black.. but suddenly it goes right back to my desktop.. and an error message appears
what's the solution for this problem..?? Thanks

Which game is better Call of Duty World at War or Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2?

I dont know which on to get i want call of duty world at war beause of nazi zombies and i hear modern warefare 2 is better. Which one should I get?

call of duty world at war ONLY if u have internet on x box or ps3 if u don't pick modern warefare 2

I think Modern Warfare 2 is better. They are both good campaigns, but MW2 is much better online. Also Nazi Zombies gets really repetitive.
